What Laura Loves: New Things!

Saturday, 22 September 2012

I bought this chunky cream knit jumper with elbow patches for £14 from Primark. I needed a thick knitted jumper that I could wear over a vest in the winter for college and I fell in love with this one. I see me pairing it with black skinny jeans with thick socks and boots or with my new dark blue bootcut jeans from New Look.

The Sims 3 Hidden Springs and The Sims 3 Supernatural are something I've wanted for a while. I love The Sims 3 and would go as far to saying it's my favourite game. I frequently waste entire nights with my Sims and a bottle of wine because (shh), I don't get out much. The Hidden Springs box doesn't come with a disc but a code that you enter into the website to download the official town. From what I played of Supernatural last night it is very good (I accidentally turned myself into a zombie and a fairy at the same time which was hilarious and it took me two Sim days to work out how to change back....I'm still a fairy).

These bootcut jeans from New Look were only £9.99 but when I got to the till I only paid £6.49! I do love a good bargain! I own two pairs of jeans - a pair of light distressed denim bootcut jeans which I never wear and my black skinny jeans which are worn out and falling off me so I decided it was definitely time for new jeans for the autumn. There's nothing I love more than jeans, boots and a jumper in the winter for warm and cosy fashion. I'm not breaking fashion rules and I'm not going out of my way to push the limits of fashion on the school run so a good pair of jeans is a staple. I love New Look's jeans as I'm quite tall with long legs and their 32" leg fit me well (their 34" fit perfectly with heels too). I bought the 'Sagittarius' necklace from New Look too at a whole £1!

These boots are from Primark with an original price tag of £12. I found them in a charity shop brand new with tags for £5. Who loves bargains? Me! I also love charity shops. They're not the nicest boots in the world but I have my eye on some gorgeous boots that I can't yet afford so these Ugg style boots will keep my feet warm on dry, cold days, at least. Not stylish but comfortable for every day running around.

Last, but not least, I picked up a few bits from Primark. 100 denier tights which I love to go with a gold metallic dress for my sister-in-law's wedding reception next month, a black knitted beret (I love hats but have seemingly lost my black beret), a skull scarf and two pairs of knitted cosy socks in cream and black to wear with boots and with pyjamas.

I also picked up the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in shade 04 which I posted about yesterday, an MUA pressed powder and a huge leopard print umbrella with a black ruffled edge from Primark as when I was emerging from Gamestation the heavens opened and suddenly rain soaked everything in sight accompanied by huge dark clouds and a sudden darkness at 1:30pm. Never a better excuse to buy a new umbrella!
