Christmas Party Outfit Blogger Challenge

Saturday, 17 November 2012

Fashionvouchers.com have launched their biggest blogger challenge - put together an entire party outfit for under £100. You can choose from a list of retailers to complete your outfit but the entire outfit must come from one place. Pretty simple, right? Well, no. I found it difficult because there is just so much choice. I chose New Look as I routinely shop there and they're my first port of call for any occasion and I thought it would be a breeze. I honestly could put together at least ten of these little beauties but I went with the choice above. Why? Because what would Blair Waldorf do? That's why. You can enter here and I strongly advise you do because the winner gets £100 in vouchers (there are three winners so you get a better chance). Definitely worth the time browsing!

I styled this outfit for me. I'm a fan of classic, simple and elegant outfits and I feel the above encapsulates my style. The dip hem of the dress adds a trend to a classic black and gold outfit, the shoes add some detail and height (not that I need it but I really do like towering over people) and the blazer is just to die for. Sequins are a staple for the party season but I didn't want to go all out with sequin shoes too so I'd let the blazer do the talking. The earrings are simple but draw the eye and the clutch is just enough to finish the outfit. I imagine this look with deep red matte lips and loose waves in the hair with a little volume at the crown. Perfect for a work's party, a date, a big blowout or a smart cocktail party.

All in all this comes in almost £10 under budget leaving me enough fake money to purchase the perfect berry toned lipstick.

    1. It's all well and good when it's fake and you don't have something that resembles crushed banana on your shoulder. Seriously, I have something that resembles crushed banana on my shoulder but who can be sure these days?

    1. I agree. It looks much more expensive. I love this entire outfit because it looks more expensive than it really is.

    1. I have wide feet and sometimes UK size 8 don't fit but New Look always have a great wide fit or size 9 selection. They're my go to!
