What Laura Wants: The Kardashian Kollection

When I first heard about the Kardashian Kollection launching in Dorothy Perkins, I was a bit dubious. While I know the Kardashian's thanks to them being in every newspaper or magazine I pick up and while I've seen their style, I have to admit that I wasn't very excited. I thought everything was going to be very tight and form fitting (which turns out to be quite true) and extortionately priced for Dorothy Perkins. However, the pricing is not too bad if not better than most high street shops and the collection is inoffensive. Nothing about it is groundbreaking or completely beautiful but I do want to pick up a few items and those are the items I've linked above.

I really like this blouse. I like the cream and black and the detail on the bust and think it would work well with the lace panelled skirt. I'm much more of a dress girl than shirts and trousers and I am still a little bit torn between even trying the skirt on or discarding it from the list completely. If the material is right it will hang beautifully on my hips and skim the less than toned areas but if the material is wrong it's going to be a disaster. Do I even want to chance a disaster? That's yet to be decided but a bag? The bag is an all around winner. You may remember me saying in my birthday wishlist that I wanted a black bag for every day? This may just take over the bag I linked there. I really love it and think it would fit most of my life in well. Plus, it's not too badly priced and it would go with pretty much everything. Also, a bag doesn't care that your hips are too dimpled with excess fat to wear anything remotely figure hugging. They don't care!

So, the ccollection is decent and will win Dorothy Perkins many customers and the Kardashian's many more viewers but will I be hitting the dangerous area of my bank balance to go all out? Not this time.

  1. I don't understand how they've put a collection that spans from a size 8-16 in a store that stocks size 6-22

Kinda sucks for dp's customers including myself who are a size 18+

I do like some pieces from the collection though although the pricing is a bit high compared to the core range.

Got a love hate thing going on for it at the mo :L

    1. It stresses me out. I can fit into the shirt but it would have to be constantly open. I thought the Kardashian's with their curves would have catered to the fatter amongst us too. Hopefully if this collection does well they'll expand their sizing in the next. Here's hoping!

  2. That's such a shame about the sizing, seems a stupid move for DPs as it'll alienate so many potential customers. The bag however I'm pretty impressed with, might have to go and see it in store!x

    1. I'm a 16-20 depending on the shop so if the collection alienates me I'm obviously going to be disappointed as I can usually pick something lovely up in DP's :(
