There's so many things I love about Christmas from the buying of gifts, the wrapping, the Christmas themed and associated drinks and food, the getting together of people you love, the lights, the smell (yes, that's a real thing), Doctor Who...but I have to say it's the enthusiasm that my children bring because Christmas lost a lot of meaning for me in my late teens. It was them who restored my belief in the magic of it.
Q2. What’s your favourite makeup look for the festive season?
I'm a fan of deep gold shimmery eyes with deep black eyeliner. I also love a bold matte lip.
Q3. Real tree or fake tree?
I like real trees but I can't afford the cost of a beautiful thick one and it's also a waste of time right now since the children will just eat them, pick them off, tip the tree over - I have many reasons for my choice of a 6ft artificial reusable tree.
Q4. Giving presents or receiving presents?
Giving. I know everyone says this because they don't want to sound selfish or self-obsessed but I really do like giving gifts. I love seeing my friends and family happy.
Q5. Do you open your presents Christmas morning or evening?
Christmas morning. I get up ridiculously early with the girls as they're so excited about Santa having been so I like to open mine before them so they can get excited.
Q6. Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
Bought. I am absolutely terrible at handmade cards so bought cards are just a lot easier and since I don't send many cards anyway, don't break the bank.
Q7. What’s your favourite Christmas film?
Elf. I am highly considering answering my phone with "Buddy the Elf. What's your favourite colour?" every time it rings during December.
Q8. What’s your favourite Christmas food?
Warm mince pies with cold brandy sauce, Starbucks egg nog lattes, turkey with stuffing and homemade truffles.
